川越の蔵造りの街並みの中に位置する「川越まつり会館」は、約370年の伝統を誇る「川越まつり」を一年中いつでも体感できる施設です 。2003年に開館し、2024年3月にリニューアルオープンしました 。

最大の見どころは、実際に川越まつりで曳かれる本物の山車2台を間近で見学できること。年に数回入れ替えながら展示されており、精巧な彫刻や豪華な装飾をじっくりと観察できます 。また、縦4.7メートル×横8.7メートルの大型3面スクリーンで上映される約8分間の映像は、祭りの熱気と興奮をリアルに伝えてくれます（20分毎に上映）。2階には祭りやお囃子の歴史を紹介する展示コーナーや、歴代のポスターが並ぶコーナーもあります 。

日曜・祝日には、展示ホールでお囃子の実演（約20分）も行われており、実際の祭りさながらの音色を楽しむことができます 。入り口では法被を着て記念撮影ができるフォトスポットも人気です 。

Located along Kawagoe’s Kurazukuri streetscape, the “Kawagoe Matsuri Kaikan” is a facility where you can experience the “Kawagoe Festival,” which boasts a tradition of about 370 years, at any time of the year . It first opened in 2003 and was reopened after renovations in March 2024 .

The main highlight is the opportunity to see two actual festival floats used in the Kawagoe Festival up close. They are displayed and rotated several times a year, allowing you to carefully observe the intricate carvings and luxurious decorations . An approximately 8-minute video shown on a large three-sided screen (measuring 4.7m x 8.7m) vividly conveys the excitement and energy of the festival (screened every 20 minutes) . On the second floor, there are exhibition corners introducing the history of the festival and its festival music (hayashi), as well as a display of past festival posters .

On Sundays and national holidays, live hayashi performances (about 20 minutes) are held in the exhibition hall, allowing visitors to enjoy the sounds just like at the actual festival . A popular photo spot near the entrance lets you wear a happi coat for commemorative photos .
